That’s Cleveland Baby
Memes are hilarious when they’re true. I don’t always experience all four seasons in a week… But when I do I am in CLEVELAND!
That’s most certainly Cleveland baby!
I’ve had this one sitting in my drafts for quite some time now… I’m talking years. And while I’m WAY overdue posting it (even for this season) it’s a shot that I absolutely love. Even though we’re not off to a tremendous start, baseball’s back in Cleveland!
That’s Cleveland Baby!!!
The weather in Cleveland today is beautiful… it’s in the mid 50’s (56 on my phone right now) and the sun is shining. Sadly, it doesn’t seem as if it’s going to last. I just got an alert from the Weather Channel that’s telling me we’re under a Winter Storm Watch.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a winter storm watch…
4 to 6 inches of snow along with a glaze of ice. 15 to 25 MPH.
Sadly as I’ve lived here for the better part of 30 years, this comes as no surprise to me.
Bundle up folks…

Summertime in the Cleveland area means heat and humidity. But it also means fun in that sun and there’s no place better to spend an awesome afternoon getting some thrills than Cedar Point. Yes, I know that Cedar Point isn’t technically in Cleveland (it’s about an hour or so away in Sandusky) but for many its synonymous with the Northeast Ohio / Cleveland area.
You can find Cedar Point on the web at http://www.cedarpoint.com. If you’ve never been, and you’re a fan of roller coasters I’ve got to ask… What are you waiting for? You’ll find some of the greatest rides in the WORLD right up the road from the land of Cleve. Enjoy summer folks!
That’s Cleveland (ish) Baby!!!

If you’ve read any of my stuff here, you’ll know that I’m a pretty big baseball fan. That said, Progressive Field (Jacob’s Field to me, but that’s another story altogether) holds a special place in my heart. I ran across this photo on Twitter the other day where user @GirlFromThe216 had is a her Twitter background. The sunset here showing through the clouds with the Terminal Tower and Progressive Field in the foreground make for an amazing photo.
What an amazing shot. Have you been out to Progressive Field yet this year? If not what’s stopping you? You could be missing out on a beautiful sunset such as this.

It’s been a long and cold off season for Cleveland Indians fans, but we’re finally on the home stretch toward Opening Day for our beloved Tribe. We’ll be seeing a ton of new faces when the Indians trot onto the field next week and I for one an super excited about this team.
For quite a few Clevelanders (myself included) Opening Day is a holiday that we look forward to every single day from the time the previous season ends. Thanks to the Official Cleveland Indians Facebook page for posting such an awesome photo today.

It was announced today that the 2013 Cleveland Airshow was being cancelled due to budget constraints. Per the Cleveland National Air Show website: “The 2013 Air Show has been canceled due to the impact of Federal Government Sequestration budget cuts on Department of Defense and Aerospace Industry support of public air shows. Planning and preparation is proceeding for the 2014 Cleveland National Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The tentative 2014 dates are August 30 – September 1 (Labor Day Weekend).”
I don’t know about you, but for me if I attended or not, there was just something special about Air Show week in Cleveland. If you were downtown you got to see and hear the planes as they practiced during the week. And there was a certain anticipation in the air when folks started talking Air Show… it meant summer was coming.
Some quick Googling found me this amazing shot taken by John Slater at http://blog.slaterpics.com/ Talk about an incredible shot of the Blue Angels flying by the downtown Cleveland skyline. Here’s hoping that we’ve not seen the last of the Cleveland Air Show.

It’s often been said that if you don’t like the weather in Cleveland, all you have to do is wait a little while. This past week we had spring like sun, mist, rain, fog, snow and ice… all in a 24 hour period.
This wouldn’t be nearly as funny if it wasn’t so true!
That’s Cleveland Baby!!!
I don’t know about you, but even though we’re looking at highs in the teens next week, I’ve got baseball on my mind.
We may not be the greatest team in the league, but we sure do have the best venue to watch our beloved Cleveland Indians. Who’s looking forward to Opening Day at Progressive Field???

I took this photo using Instagram over the summer. The Arcade downtown was flying the American Flag and it totally caught my eye. This was a great show of patriotism that quite frankly I don’t think we have enough of these days.
