The Indians completed a three-game sweep of Boston on Monday night in the American League Division Series to advance to the ALCS for the first time since 2007.
The Indians will host the first game of the American League Championship Series on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays at Progressive Field.
Roberto Perez seemed to be everywhere last night as the Indians beat the Red Sox in game one of the ALDS. He hit home runs, he was involved in plays at the plate, he was tagging up when he shouldn’t have and brought back memories of Carlos Baerga with a slide into second base that hurt to watch.

The series continues this afternoon at 4:30 at Progressive Field.
With their 7-4 victory over the Tigers on Monday night, the Indians clinched the 2016 AL Central title and they’re back in the playoffs! This is the first time since the 2013 season the Tribe has been to the post season and the first time since 2007 that they’ve won the division.
I ran across this on Facebook this morning when Carrie Nagy Swain added it as her cover photo.

Indians playoff tickets went on sale the other day and sold out within an hour. Progressive Field should be rocking!
I shouldn’t be laughing nearly as hard about this as I am. All jokes aside, we wish RG3 a quick recovery. When you’re a Browns fan you just have to try and find the humor in the situation.
The more they stay the same. The NFL season started. The Browns lost. And now reports are coming out that quarterback Robert Griffin III was RG3 placed on injured reserved after hurting shoulder in the opener. He will be reevaluated in three to four weeks.
If there’s one landmark that’s quintessential Cleveland it’s the Terminal Tower. We don’t have the largest or tallest skyline in the country but when you look up and see this beauty in the sky you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you’re “home”.

If you’re a professional wrestling fan you know the significance (and awesomeness) of this particular photo. If you’re not familiar it’s an homage to former WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan.
Not sure who originally spotted it, but I ran across it when Twitter user @CLE_CLCFan tweeted it.
Basketball is behind us, and the Indians are primed for a stretch run. But let’s be honest… Cleveland is a football town. The Browns first round draft pick Corey Colemen is gearing up for his first NFL season. Coleman was drafted fifteenth overall by the Browns in the 2016 NFL Draft. On May 13, 2016, he signed a four-year, $11.65 million contract.
It was a good week for Cleveland. Political affiliations aside, our city received rave reviews as the host of the Republican National Convention. According to Fortune.com: “There does seem to be one thing that all of the delegates (and even media members) seem to agree on: Cleveland has been a fantastic host city. Cleveland’s walkability, cleanliness, friendliness and even its weather have drawn nothing but rave reviews.”

David Gilbert, Destination Cleveland’s president and CEO, said, “For a city like Cleveland that has suffered drastically by a difficult perception, visitation changes perception more than anything else, and that also has to do with people choosing to move here, choosing to locate a business here.”
There’s been quite a bit of winning going on lately in Cleveland and that trend continued last night at the ESPY Awards. The Cavaliers took home SEVEN awards last night including: Best Team, Best Male Athlete – LeBron James, Best Coach/Manager – Tyronn Lue, Best Championship Performance – LeBron James, Best NBA Player – LeBron James, Best Moment in Sports – Cavaliers winning the NBA Championship and Best Game – Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

It was a long time coming and I don’t know about you, but I could get used to this.
We hear the phrase “All In” quite a bit in Cleveland. This guy redefines the term. With tattoos of the Buckeyes, Indians, Cavs and Browns there’s absolutely no doubt where his allegiance lies.

The recent events in Dallas are simply horrible. I won’t go into the details. Here’s a simply amazing photo by Frank Cramer of ProudDad72 Photography. Frank had this to say: “Cleveland showing its support for the officers and families in Dallas Texas letting them know we all have them in our hearts and minds!”

Thanks for Frank for capturing such a stunning image. You can find Frank and ProudDad Photography on Facebook. Give him a like and tell him That’s Cleveland Baby sent you!
