You’re familiar with the movie A Christmas Story. Right? Well, we embrace that movie in CLE like no other. Hell, a few years ago a guy bought the house where the movie was filmed and turned it into a museum.
A Christmas Story is a 1983 film based on the Jean Shepherd book In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash. The film has since become a holiday classic that is celebrated across the United States and especially in Cleveland. The infamous Christmas Story House where the movie was filmed is here and we have more leg lamps per capita than any other city in the US.
For many Clevelanders, the start of the holiday season is when Great Lakes Brewery taps the first barrels of the season’s Christmas Ale. That happened yesterday when Santa officially toasted the start of the season. Let it snow!
Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend lined up in Cleveland! There’s a ton to do in and around town. Don’t forget the true meaning of Memorial Day but have a great weekend!
There’s a ton going on in Cleveland this weekend including the Great American Rib Cook-Off, the Chagrin Falls Blossom Time Festival, the Tremont Greek Fest and much more!!! Get out there and enjoy your weekend Cleveland!
If there is one building that’s iconic to Cleveland, it’s the Terminal Tower. One of the thing that I LOVE about the Tower is when it’s lit up in the Cleveland night. Throughout the year how it’s lit changes based on the time of year, activities around town, etc. This particular image was snapped during the holidays this past year when the Tower was decked out in traditional Christmas colors. Love it!
What other color schemes have you seen on the Tower?
