It’s been a brutal winter in Cleveland. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for Spring and everything that comes along with it… BASEBALL!!!

Let’s Go Tribe… That’s Clevealnd Baby!!!
It’s been a long, cold winter here in Cleveland. I try really hard not to bitch about the weather cause let’s face it… we live in Cleveland. It’s GOING to be cold in the winter. This year seems to have been particularly tough. That said, I’m SUPER pumped today because baseball is back! The Indians hit the field today for their first Spring Training game. Can’t wait to get back to Progressive Field for some real Tribe baseball!

Are you planning on going to Opening Day in April?
That’s Cleveland Baby!
I found this little piece of brilliance on Twitter this morning while going through my feed. As you know, the Indians are hosting the Wild Card game tonight a Progressive Field against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays in a one game playoff which will determine who goes on to face the Red Sox on Friday. Here’s hoping that we get to hear the “GONE!!!” part of this flow chart quite often tonight. Let’s Go Tribe!!!

I have absolutely no ownership over this picture… but I simply HAD to share it’s brilliance. Thanks to @zgebler for putting it on paper!!!

For the first time in 6 years we’ve got October baseball here in Cleveland! Yesterday afternoon the Indians won their 10th straight game and in the process clinched the top spot in the American League wild card race. They’ll host the wild card game on Wednesday evening against either the Tampa Bay Rays of the Texas Rangers. Let’s make sure The Jake (Progressive Field) is packed… Let’s Go Tribe!!!

Will you be at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario on Wednesday night? I know I will!!!
Have a listen to the highlights of the playoff clincher from the best in the biz Tom Hamilton

In case you haven’t noticed (and judging by the attendance you haven’t) the Indians are in the thick of the playoff race here in late September. Last night, Jason Giambi sent the Progressive Field crowd home happy when he hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 9th inning to beat the Chicago White Sox.

If you’re a baseball fan you already know this, but Cleveland is lucky to have two of the best voices in the business to call our games: Matt Underwood and Tom Hamilton. Hamilton has long been known as one of the best voices in baseball and his home run calls have become iconic. Underwood… especially last night… has been taking up the mantle of home run calls as well. Here’s both of them in all their glory.
– Matt Underwood’s Call
– Tom Hamilton’s Call
I’m typically a Hamilton guy, but I think (at least for last night) I may have to give the nod to Underwood. Either way, it was an incredible win and it put the Tribe that much close to playoff baseball. Tonight the Indians close the regular season at Progressive Field. Get out and support them!

I was scrolling through my Facebook feed the other day and ran across this gem. My friend was clearing out a box of old photos in a house he’d recently moved into and found this pic of Cleveland Municipal Stadium. The Indians called Municipal Stadium their home for some 60 years and the Browns for nearly 50 years. While it wasn’t necessarily the best place to WATCH a sporting event, I’ve got some of my first (and greatest) memories from that site on the shores of Lake Erie.

This particular photo had a date of 1980 on it and looks like its held up great. I’ve got to say that this is probably my personal favorite rendition of Chief Wahoo. Got a story of Municipal Stadium you’d like to share? We’d love to hear it!

If you’ve read any of my stuff here, you’ll know that I’m a pretty big baseball fan. That said, Progressive Field (Jacob’s Field to me, but that’s another story altogether) holds a special place in my heart. I ran across this photo on Twitter the other day where user @GirlFromThe216 had is a her Twitter background. The sunset here showing through the clouds with the Terminal Tower and Progressive Field in the foreground make for an amazing photo.

What an amazing shot. Have you been out to Progressive Field yet this year? If not what’s stopping you? You could be missing out on a beautiful sunset such as this.

In case you didn’t know, the Indians are playing a true double header today against the New York Yankees. Buy a ticket and you get to watch at least 18 innings of baseball for the price of 9! That’s a great deal Cleveland!

The Tribe (as of this post) finds itself tied for first place but with the lowest attendance in the league. Come on Cleveland… show our Tribe that we love them!
That’s Cleveland Baby!
We’re well into the swing of baseball season here in Cleveland. And when you venture down to the corner of Carnegie and Ontario you’re sure to see one super fan making the rounds – Slider!!!

I’m not really sure what Slider is supposed to be (aside from a huge Tribe fan) but he does a great job cheering on our Indians. They’re going for their 7th victory in a row today down at Progressive Field. Let’s go Tribe!!!

There are not words to describe the sadness around the events from the Boston Marathon yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by these tragic events.
The Cleveland Indians posted this photo to their social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter) this evening I simply had to repost.

In case you can’t read this guy’s sign it says:
“From our city, to your city.
Our hearts and prayers go out to you Boston.
Love, Cleveland”
I quite simply couldn’t have said it better myself. Here’s to you Boston. We’re with you.
That’s Cleveland Baby…
Baseball is back in Cleveland!!! The Indians opened up their home season yesterday at Progressive Field when they hosted the New York Yankees. The Home Opener (referred to by the Indians as Opening Day) sold out in only 6 minutes the day tickets went on sale to the general public. This picture was taken from my seats in section 521 and I was THRILLED to be there.

Downtown Cleveland was packed hours before the game with folks excited about Indians baseball. The weather was beautiful and even though the Tribe lost I think it’s safe to say that everyone is happy to have baseball back!
That’s Cleveland Baby!
Today’s the day Indians fans… it’s the 2013 Home Opener!!! It’s been a long time coming and fans simply cannot wait to return to Progressive Field to cheer on our Tribe!
I saw this beautiful picture on Twitter this morning capturing the incredible sunrise over Progressive Field. I can’t for the life of me find the tweet so I can’t give proper credit. If you know who took this photo PLEASE let me know so I can give credit where it’s due.

It’s baseball season. Get out and cheer for our Indians. Let’s go Tribe!

It’s been a long and cold off season for Cleveland Indians fans, but we’re finally on the home stretch toward Opening Day for our beloved Tribe. We’ll be seeing a ton of new faces when the Indians trot onto the field next week and I for one an super excited about this team.

For quite a few Clevelanders (myself included) Opening Day is a holiday that we look forward to every single day from the time the previous season ends. Thanks to the Official Cleveland Indians Facebook page for posting such an awesome photo today.
That’s Cleveland Baby!!!
I don’t know about you, but even though we’re looking at highs in the teens next week, I’ve got baseball on my mind.

We may not be the greatest team in the league, but we sure do have the best venue to watch our beloved Cleveland Indians. Who’s looking forward to Opening Day at Progressive Field???
