If you’re a Cleveland baseball fan, you know Tom Hamilton. You may not know what he looks like, but you DEFINITELY know what he sounds like. Tom is the Voice of the Cleveland Indians and today the Tribe announced that he had signed a new multi-year contract extension. Summers at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario never sounded so good. A SWING AND A DRIVE!!!

The Home Opener is only 12 days away – are you ready for some baseball?
John Kasich defeated Republican front-runner Donald Trump in the Ohio Primary on March 15th. During his victory speech Kasich said, “We are going to go all the way to Cleveland and secure the Republican nomination.”
The Browns announced earlier today that they have waived quarterback Johnny Manziel.

At least they got the memo that the free agency period has started and they can make moves. All jokes aside, I think it’s fair to say that Manziel is troubled. I wish him nothing but the best in the future.
Great Lakes Brewing Company located across the street from St. Ignatius High School and the West Side Market is home to some award winning lagers including Burning River Pale Ale, Commodore Perry IPA, Dortmunder Gold, Edmund Fitzgerald Porter and Eliot Ness Amber Lager. Additionally, they have seasonal brews including Conway’s Irish Ale, Chillwave Double IPA, Rye of the Tiger IPA and Christmas Ale.
If you’ve never been to their tasting room I’d strongly recommend it!

The Cleveland Indians announced Tuesday that Momocho, Fat Head’s Brewery, Dante’s Inferno and The Brew Kettle will serve their unique food at Progressive Field this season!

Momocho will be serving nachos with made to order tortilla chips topped with creamy queso fundido, slow cooked meats and unique salsas.
Fat Head’s Brewery – Two of their top sellers, The Fat Italian and The Southside Slopes, will be featured at Progressive Field.
Dante’s Inferno will feature hand-crafted pizzas.
The Brew Kettle will offer its Wisconsin Burger, a seasoned pork burger smoked to perfection and served on a pretzel bun with Swiss cheese and spicy kraut relish on the side.
A new beer garden near Section 164 will feature Great Lakes Brewing Co.

Aloft Cleveland Downtown is located in the heart of the business and entertainment district, near the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum, Quicken Loans Arena, and the Cleveland Convention Center.
Goodbye Rock Gaming, hello Jack Entertainment. Dan Gilbert’s company is re-branding and reorganizing its gambling properties under the Jack brand name. The local properties will now be the Jack Cleveland Casino and the Jack Thistledown Casino.
Wizard World Comic Con (wizardworld.com/comiccon/cleveland) comes to Cleveland this weekend at the Cleveland Convention Center February 26th through the 28th. Last night there was a closed event for press and media to kick off the weekend. In addition to press and media outlets, celebrity guests Larry Wilcox (CHiPs), Cas Anvar (Assassin’s Creed: Revelations), Jason David Frank (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and Jason Mewes (Clerks) were in attendance for a Q & A.
Rock legend Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band played last night at the Quicken Loans Arena. At the beginning of the night he wrongly referred to C-Town as Pittsburgh before correcting himself.

Crain’s Cleveland Business is reporting that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is getting close to signing a sponsorship deal with AT&T that will open the museum for FREE during the Republican National Convention! Check out the full details here.

The Cavs sent Anderson Varejao and a conditional first-round pick to the Portland Trail Blazers in a deal that ultimately brought Channing Frye to the team. Varejao spent all 12 of his years in Cleveland. He had his chance to move when LeBron James left, but he chose to stay to help turn the franchise around.
The NBA is a business. And sadly, Andy got the bad end of a business deal. From this Cavs fan, a most sincere thank you for 12 great years in the wine and gold.
